Here are 7 myths that have infected the MLM industry. You need to be aware of them so you can ignore them, break free, and give your network marketing business the chance to succeed.

1. Everyone can be a network marketing prospect and/or recruit. Myth! Not everyone wants what you have to sell and not everyone is interested in running their own network marketing business. People have different goals and interests and it’s a waste of your time and energy to try and convince someone who isn’t already interested in MLM to be a part of your business.

2. You don’t have to be a successful salesman (or woman) to do well in network marketing. Myth! The MLM business model still requires you to develop and use sales techniques. You have to be able to sell yourself, your opportunity, and your product to others.

3. Anyone can create and sustain a successful network marketing business. Myth! Only 1-2% of network marketers ever build a substantial income through their MLM venture. It’s hard work, but it’s also possible if you do it right.

4. Just buy this program that will do everything for you and make you successful. Myth! Even with the best “turn key” system you will still have to do some hard work to make it successful. There’s no free lunch!

5. Our product is the best ever and it will sell itself. Myth! Objects don’t sell themselves. Messages sell products, and the message has to be directed to the right audience. Even Pepsi and Coke still advertise.

6. The difference between success and failure is motivation. Myth! You have to be motivated, yes, but success requires actual knowledge and business savvy.

7. Our MLM system is proven to work. Myth! The old MLM systems are broken. Just look at the attrition rate in most network marketing organizations.

  1. Hi Vishal…
    My name is Muhammad Mahdi.
I live and work in Atlanta.
I am formally trained as a HealthCare Professional, however I have more than a keen interest in mastering the science of how to profitably market via the internet … and to build an income that can bring me in a month the salary that I make annually as a Pharmacist.

    Please contact me at 404.438.3383
(If for some reason I don’t pick up …leave a brief message, I will call back)

I want to discuss with you the CarbonCopy Pro and WealthMasters International
business systems. I also have limited cash, so I would like a gameplan that would allow me to EARN the monies through Carbon Copy PRO that will serve as the investment in WMI….. make sense?

I look forward to you call.

    Hi Muhammad Mahdi,

I just saw your comment on my blog. I recall speaking with you few weeks back. Do you have any more questions?

    Thanks

    Vishal,

Great article. I came upon yours while I was checking the ranking of a article I wrote on the same subject.

I am a fellow CCP member sponsored by Dr. Bob Clarke.

I have been on several of your webinars and I really appreciate you taking the time to share your knowledge.

Tell your friend Muhammad Mahdi I also live in Atlanta and if it would help you and him in any way I would be more than happy to meet with him on your behalf.

    Thanks again for your leadership,
    Craig
